Stephanie, RYT- 200, began her yoga journey almost 8 years ago and was immediately hooked. What she loves most about practicing yoga is the constant opportunities it allows her to learn, to grow, and to become inspired. Balancing stillness with movement, surrender with challenge, and peace with disruption is something she strives to do both on and off her mat every day. Soon after her first few yoga classes, Stephanie decided to try incorporating yoga into her 1st grade classroom in hopes that the children would enjoy moving through the poses. The students were naturals and they always looked forward to “Yoga Time”. From that minute on, she was on a mission to become a yoga teacher. She has taught kids, families, and adults for the past several years. Stephanie completed her 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification under the guidance of Dolly Stavros. She has also been fortunate to study with Stephanie Keach and holds a pre-natal certification. In addition, she completed the Yoga Kids Foundation’s training. Stephanie teaches classes for both children and adults at Laughing Buddha and Yoga Flex.
When not teaching yoga, Stephanie is a 2nd grade teacher at The Fletcher School. She truly believes that everyone can learn when given the proper tools and the support they need. Both in the classroom and in the yoga studio, her mission is to create an environment that is supportive and where students are encouraged to do their best, on that day, in that moment and to leave class feeling successful. Teaching is such a joy to her and she feels honored to be able to touch so many lives and tries to make a positive impact with each and every interaction.

February 8, 2009 - 8:07 pmI can personally attest to the fact that Stephanie, without a doubt, provides unconditional support and encouragement to ALL her students...both in the classroom and in the yoga studio. Whenever I take a class from her, I always feel inspired and empowered to do my best without ever feeling like my best isn't good enough.
