“Think Like a Bumblebee; Train Like a Horse” is the motto on the wall at Studio 1-ON-1, the private fitness studio owned by Laura Schiltz of 1-ON-1 Fitness Training, LLC. Located in historic Southend, 1-ON-1 Fitness Training strives to emphasize more than simply physical fitness by encompassing “total lifestyle wellness.” This entails health on multiple planes: the physical, mental, emotional, relational and spiritual. It is not uncommon for Laura to take her clients outside to exercise in the fresh air, lead stressed clients in an hour of stretching, or simply listen to clients express in confidentially their joys and frustrations, all the while guiding them in a workout routine. Regardless of the day, clients always leave her studio feeling better internally as well as externally.
Laura is a Certified Personal Trainer through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology, and is a Certified Outdoor Fitness Professional. Having competed in marathons, she is now taken up triathlons and is running her first 1/2 Ironman later this summer!

I have tried dozens of times over the years to stick with a fitness program with no success. With Laura's guidance I am now in my second year. I was starting at zero on my first visit to 1-on-1 Fitness Training but Laura developed a program to fit my level. I'm amazed how much strength and stability I gave gained and best of all, I have no shoulder and back pain now. Thanks Laura! You are my fitness hero!
